Terms of Service

1. About HireEdge

HireEdge is an AI-powered career intelligence platform built for the UK job market. It provides career analysis, gap identification, salary benchmarks, and AI-assisted tools including EDGEX (our AI copilot) and Career Pack (a structured transition report).

HireEdge provides information and tools to assist career decisions. It does not provide regulated career counselling, legal advice, immigration advice, or financial advice. All outputs are AI-generated and should be used as guidance, not professional advice.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information when registering
• One account per person — you may not share accounts
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

3. Plans and payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices include VAT where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Refund policy

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to cancel a digital service within 14 days of purchase (the "cooling-off period"). However, by using the service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that the service has begun and you may lose your right to a full refund.

Career Pack (one-time purchase): if you have not generated a report, you may request a full refund within 14 days. Once a report has been generated, the purchase is considered used.

Monthly subscriptions: you may cancel at any time. We do not offer partial-month refunds unless required by law. To request a refund, email info@hireedge.co.uk.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HireEdge for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
• Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
• Use automated tools to access the platform beyond normal usage
• Submit false or misleading information to generate outputs
• Reproduce or resell platform outputs commercially without permission

6. AI-generated content

EDGEX and Career Pack outputs are generated by AI models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT). These outputs are provided for informational purposes only. HireEdge does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose.

Salary figures, visa requirements, and market data reflect available training data and may not reflect current conditions. Always verify critical information from official sources before making career or immigration decisions.

7. Intellectual property

All platform content, design, code, data, and branding is owned by HireEdge Careers Limited. AI-generated outputs produced using your inputs are yours to use for personal career purposes. You may not resell, republish, or commercialise platform outputs without written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, HireEdge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including career decisions made based on platform outputs.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
